Beauty R Us is proud to announce the official opening of the Beauty R Us Barbie Museum & Perfumery in Mokopane on 5 June 2026.
Created as a heartfelt tribute to Fhilip, the museum was brought to life by Vernon in his memory. What began as a deeply personal story has grown into a unique local attraction, celebrating beauty, nostalgia, fashion, fragrance and imagination.
The museum features over 900 unique Barbie dolls, displayed in a glamorous setting designed to inspire visitors of all ages. Alongside the museum experience, Beauty R Us also introduces its boutique perfumery, offering signature fragrances by Fillip.
While South Africa is home to toy and miniature collections, including established toy museum experiences, Beauty R Us appears to offer something truly distinctive: a dedicated Barbie-focused museum and perfumery experience in the heart of Mokopane.
Today, the Kwêla team visited Beauty R Us to capture video footage, marking an exciting moment for the museum ahead of its opening. Beauty R Us looks forward to working with tour operators, local businesses and the Mokopane community to help promote tourism in the area.
